Imaginary Exits
written and directed by Eric J. McAnallen
produced by Driftwood Dramatics
This is the complete show from the performance on May 14, 2016 at the Avenue Theatre in Rochester PA. It's in two parts.
Eric is no stranger to the theatre having appeared in over 40 productions on Western PA Stages since 1984, including shows with The Red Barn Players, The New Castle Playhouse, RACT Theatre Productions, Hobnob Theatre Productions, Comtra Theatre, The Pittsburgh New Works Festival and The Known World Players.
Eric earned a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a MS in Education from Duquesne University. He is a former English Teacher, Social Worker, Steel Worker, Retail Cashier, Computer Trainer and Camp Counselor. During the day, Eric is a Computer Systems Engineer and at night (when he's not on stage) he is an audiobook narrator/producer and voice over actor.
In 2015, after growing frustrated with play selection from the local theatres, Eric set out to produce plays he found interesting by founding his own production company, Driftwood Dramatics. Thier first production was in the spring of 2016, consisting of Eric's own Imaginary Exits.
A singer from way back (ask his wife how much he loves to sing in the shower), Eric has appeared in leading roles in several musicals. When he's not singing, he loves a good farce and has been caught with his pants down (literally and more than once) in countless comedies.
Eric is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and sincerely hopes that someday you will get to see one of his original works on stage.
